Maša Gros was born in July 1977 in Slovenia, where she started with her first public exhibitions and creativity within visual arts in 1992 and the same year obtained an award for glass painting. First independent exhibition was open in the city of Celje in 1999, supported with international critique by dr Bogomil Karlavaris from Croatia ( international critic, professor, artist ) and internationally recognized graphic artist and professor dr Peter Krivec from Slovenia.
Same year she has attended an art summer workshop held and leaded by a known artist Mr Jože Ciuha, from whom she obtained a good critique, certification of visual arts and invitation to attend the workshop in the future as a guest of Foundation Joze Ciuha. In 2000 Maša ventured to United States and presented her art work created in South Beach to the director of Kennedy Gallery and obtained high pricing and positive critiques.
In 2001 she has returned to the Foundation of Jože Ciuha as a guest. Maša's work was presented also in a smaller section of the famous magazine ''Arte'' in 2002, published in Milano and she was after invited to exhibit in Ferrandina in the gallery L' Artista, held by an artist Pasquale Colle, where she received a very good critique, an award as 1st Slovenian artist presented there and very warm welcoming. Next exhibition in Italy happened in Trieste in the gallery Salone di Arte Contemporanea, whos director and critic is Giancarlo Bonomo, from whom she obtained another positive critique and was again the 1st Slovenian artist presenting her work there.
Her work was published in various magazines, newspapers, including the catalogue in Pordenone-Italy, where she was again the only artis from Slovenia along with the many international names She was invited to present her profile on local TV and has held a few interviews while exhibiting. Maša Gros has written a project related to art and cultural development and presented it to the city major of Celje, Mr Bojan Šrot, who has accepted the ideas and released the project a year later. In 2005 Maša has registered a non-profit society KUD Art Studio Gros which dedicates to visual, creative arts, culture, alternative, events, exhibitions, development and a lot more. In 2006 she became an artist of the month, presented under the cyber gallery director Cendrine Gallipot. Same year she wrote a letter to the president of Republic of Slovenia back than, dr Janez Drnovšek and was invited for a personal meeting a few days later. In the summer she has attended 2 events dedicated to human rights and development under the leadership of dr Janez Drnovšek and on one of them her biggest art piece called Golden Age was presented, taking place at the castle of Statenberg in Slovenia. After lot's of travel, creativity, dedication and hard work, Maša has moved to South France in 2007. She has exhibited her work in the Galerie Le Cameleon in Antibes, under the wings of gallery director Simine Garib. Part of her work was exhibited also in a few private properties and Emma's Gallery in 2008. By now her work is placed in various places around the world, including many European countries, Soth America, USA and Africa. Sofar she has held over 60 exhibitions locally and internationally, with huge dedication to art and cultural development, always open to search, develop, visualize and create further. Dedication goes also toward written word and other ways of expressing her visions through designs, murals, illustrations, painted furniture and other items, jewellery making, greeding card design, projects, development and more....
Currently Maša Gros lives in Antibes.
